No fewer than fifteen billionaires of Igbo origin have been organized to fund the senatorial race of Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of late Igbo leader, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu.
This was revealed by a former governor of Imo State and 2019 governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, during a stakeholders’ meeting in the Anambra South Senatorial district.
Ohakim said those planning to contest the senatorial position with Bianca Ojukwu should have a second thought as it will be a disservice to the late Ojukwu for anybody to work against the interest of his family.
His words: “Those who are contesting the poll with the wife of our leader may have the money and wherewithal to muzzle down Bianca but they don’t have the same integrity.
“We have mobilized fifteen Igbo billionaires to sponsor her ambition and over 25,000 youths to work for her.”
In her response, Ojukwu’s widow, Bianca, a former Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain said she was going to the senate to defend the Igbo nation.
Her words: “APGA and Igbo interests run in my veins and blood. I have a kindred obligation to defend it and that’s why I’m going to the Senate.
“The Ojukwu dream must not die. We can’t abandon Ojukwu,” she said.
