The police in Ghana have apprehended 22 Nigerians residing in the country and a Ghanaian for their alleged involvement in cyber-crime, the authority says.
The suspects were picked up at their hideout in Oyarifa, Accra.
According to reports by CitiNews, items recovered from the suspects were laptops and expensive mobile phones which were allegedly used in perpetrating their nefarious activities. A Ghanaian taxi driver said to be linked with the gang was also arrested.
Police say the suspects will be repatriated in the coming days to Nigeria. A move that has been considered a good option at curbing cyber criminality in that country.
